Internal Affairs Investigator's Basic School
February 20-24, 2012
NCSHP Training Academy
Raleigh, NC

 

The North Carolina Internal Affairs Investigators Association is pleased to announce the Basic School for Internal Affairs Investigators for 2012. The school will take place at the North Carolina State Highway Patrol Academy in Raleigh, NC from Monday February 20, 2012 to Friday, February 24, 2012.  The academy is located at 3318 Garner Road in Raleigh, NC and the classroom will be located in building #4, and classroom #5.  Instructors for the class are from different agencies across North Carolina. Topics will include how to create and maintain an investigative file, personnel legal considerations, interviewing police employees, critical incident response, and more.  Registration for the school will be $175 for all agencies per attendee and $225 for all non-member agencies per attendee.  Registration for the class will start at 9:00 am, on Monday, February 20, and the training will begin at 10:00 am.  If interested, please complete the registration form and mail to Lieutenant Hovie Pope, (NCIAIA Treasurer) via the following:

Hotel Accommodations: 

The NCSHP has been grateful in offering a special price for lodging and meals at their training academy.  Lodging will only be $30 per night and a meal card may be purchased for $12.00 a day that includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.  If you plan to stay at the academy please contact Captain Charles "Vic" Ward at (919) 733-4045.
